GAZA

But But but ...Genocide! Forget that 20% a of Israeli citizens are Palestinians and they govern in the Knesset . and serve in the IDF. Yeah forget about that.

Democrats' "strongly-held principles" seem to evolve depending on who occupies the White House, don't they?

They do. Obama said vote for the Black lady until Winsom Sears ran

That's not Gaza-related, though.

Try these pivots on for size:

Many prominent Democrats publicly condemned or expressed extreme hostility toward Palestinians long before Donald Trump was elected POTUS.

Here are just a few documented examples from well before November 2016:
  • Hillary Clinton (2000, 2006, 2008, 2014)
    • As First Lady in 2000: condemned Palestinian “incitement” and “culture of violence.”
    • As Senator in 2006: co-sponsored the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act to cut all U.S. aid unless Palestinians “recognize Israel, renounce terror, and dismantle their terrorist infrastructure.”
    • 2014 memoir Hard Choices: “The Palestinian leadership’s refusal to accept… has been the primary impediment to peace.”
  • Chuck Schumer (multiple times pre-2016)
    • 2007 Senate floor: “Hamas is a terrorist organization… we should have no dealings with them.”
    • 2014 Gaza war: “Israel has a right to defend herself against these vicious rockets… Hamas started and continues this conflict.”
  • Nancy Pelosi
    • 2008 trip to Israel: “Anybody who has been following the Palestinian-Israeli conflict knows that Hamas has brought nothing but violence and disruption.”
    • 2014: “If [Palestinians] want peace, they should stop firing rockets into Israel.”
  • Joe Biden
    • 1982 Senate hearings: threatened to cut aid to Israel if they didn’t get tougher on Palestinians.
    • 2007: “Were there no Israel, there’d be no need for an America in the Middle East… The Palestinians have been given opportunity after opportunity and have rejected each one.”
  • John Kerry (as Senator and later Secretary of State pre-2016)
    • 2014: repeatedly blamed Palestinian “incitement” and “rejectionism” for failed talks, while defending Israeli settlement expansion.
  • Democratic Party platforms
    • 2004, 2008, 2012: zero mention of Palestinian human rights, zero criticism of Israeli occupation, repeated pledges of “unbreakable” support for Israel and condemnation of Palestinian terrorism.
Wanna guess what changed their tune almost overnight?
