Its reminds me a scene from the movie "Hitlers Children"....

the brainwashing of our children is akin to the tactics of the Taliban....

hard to believe its happening in the United States....


 
That was eerily similar to the hymns we sang at church. Freaky. Especially the "all nations one" portion. That was very much like the hymns.

Hey Bravo, guess who my dad, who since 1980 has voted for Reagan, Reagan, Bush, Dole, Bush, and Bush is voting for in this election?

The answer to that is what's making the right desperate and ridiculous in this election.

Dude, if you don't find praises sung to candidates weird then we are in trouble.

"Crush on Obama" song, cool. Hymns? Not so much.

Yes. And no it wasn't a "It's a small world". It was a song singing the awesome praises of "Great Leader". It was freaky how much it reminded me of church.

Who said you were? You are projecting meaning into what I said that isn't there, shoot you never came into my mind while I was posting about the memories those videos brought back to me.

That was indoctrination of the same type I went through at church, plain and simple. Both videos brought back the same memories.
 
Not everyone feels that way about Obama. However, it would seem that there ARE those who do. That is definitely a religious style hymn - sung about a presidential candidate.

Looks like those who ironically call Obama "the Messiah" to demean the attitude of liberal democrats toward their candidate are not that far off after all. It may be a minority, but there is proof positive of the messiah complex attitude.

And while I personally think Churches who fake speaking in tongues are way out in the parking lot outside of right field, there is a significant difference between a church leading children in praises for God and asking blessings on the president, and leading children in a religious-style hymn praising the president (or soon to be president) directly.
