Greenland party leader denies Donald Trump Jr meeting

Erik Jensen, chairman of Greenland's Siumut party, has denied reports that he intends to meet Donald Trump Jr. during his visit to the territory on Tuesday.

The chairman of one of Greenland's largest political parties has denied reports that he intends to meet Donald Trump Jr. during his visit to the territory.

Erik Jensen, of the Siumut party, said he had no plans to meet the President-elect's son, and reiterated that Greenland was not for sale.

"I can confirm that I have not planned to meet with him," Jensen told Greenland's Sermitsiaq newspaper. "I say it again that Greenland is not for sale and never will be."

However, he added: "Everyone is welcome to visit our country, including Trump. When the future president's son, who is also his own advisor, shows interest in our country, it means that Greenland is serious."

Personally I would LOVE to go to Greenland. I've been to Iceland, Finland, Norway and up to the Arctic Circle in Norway.

I find it so weird that Trump is laser focused on Greenland, though. I know it has a lot of rare earth minerals which are probably going to become more available as the globe warms and the ice melts but this still seems kind of random.

Never heard a US President obsess on taking over Greenland before.

Guess I wish him luck? If it lets me easily travel to Greenland I guess it's cool. Weird, but cool.

I would say no one in Greenland is going to agree with trump's treason, but clearly they found one drug dealer who would. I am sure donnie jr. is good at finding drug dealers in any circumstance to feed his habit.
