Police are hunting for a dad who killed his 15-year-old son, critically wounded his ex-wife and then used Facebook to live-broadcast his pompous confession.

“What’s up everybody? I just killed my (expletive) wife,” Earl Valentine said in his video. “I loved my wife, but she deserved what she had coming.”

As Valentine fled the scene, his dying son used his last words to call police and report his father’s crimes. The 15-year-old told emergency dispatchers that his dad had shot him and his mother.

Valentine called police after the grisly attack inside his ex-wife’s home and told them he was on his way to Richmond, Va., to kill more family members.

“When we spoke to him on the phone he told us he is basically armed and dangerous,” Chief Taylor Bartholomew told WNCN.

Police are protecting the rest of Valentine’s family while they hunt for the on-the-lam killer. Officers are searching the entire state, and parts of South Carolina and Virginia, too.

A woman who knew him says the 77-year-old man who shot three people Wednesday at a senior citizen apartment complex had grown distant recently.

Margaret Rosso, whose mother lives at the Heritage Court Apartments in Cheyenne, says Larry Rosenberg was growing frustrated with life at the complex,

Rosso said: “He started getting more and more distant, complaining about the facility and about people and just kind of pulling away, isolating himself more and more.”

Attempts to reach Rosenberg’s family weren’t successful.

The man shot three people — killing one — at a senior citizen apartment complex in Cheyenne on Wednesday morning before killing himself.

A Florida man was found guilty of attempted second-degree murder, stemming from a 2015 road rage incident involving George Zimmerman, a court spokeswoman said.

Matthew Apperson, 27, also was found guilty of shooting into a vehicle and aggravated assault with a firearm, Michelle Kennedy, spokeswoman for the 18th Judicial Circuit, said.

A jury deliberated for four hours. Apperson will be sentenced October 17.

The charges stem from an incident in Lake Mary, Florida, in May 2015. Apperson had said it was a case of self-defense and Zimmerman had threatened to kill him.

Zimmerman testified that Apperson followed him, flashing his lights and honking his horn. Apperson pulled up beside Zimmerman and shot at him, but the bullet missed, Zimmerman said. Shattered window glass cut Zimmerman.

Zimmerman's brother, Robert, tweeted: "Justice for George!"

A man is in custody after his two young children were asphyxiated using a car exhaust, his wife's two older children were fatally shot and his wife was shot and slashed at their suburban Detroit home, police said Wednesday.

The man, whose name has not been released, called 911 early Wednesday and said he had killed his family, Dearborn Heights police Lt. Michael Krause told The Associated Press. Officers found the man on the porch and took him into custody, Krause said, adding he will face charges in the coming days.

Krause said "some sort of domestic dispute" preceded the killings.

The car where the man's children, a 4-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy, were asphyxiated was parked outside the home and had a hose hooked to the exhaust that was routed into the car, Krause said. Police found those children on the ground floor of the home and administered CPR, he said. They were taken to hospital, but didn't survive.

In the basement, police found the bodies of a 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man, along with their mother, who had gunshot and knife wounds, Krause said.

The woman, whose age wasn't immediately available, is in critical condition, Krause said. He said she is not the biological mother of the younger children.

Mayor Dan Paletko, speaking near the home, called the killings "a tragedy in every sense of the word."

State police are on the scene with a crime lab, assisting local police. Neighbors described the family as quiet and hardworking.
