First reading I have had of Tommy Robinson. Reading this article had me muttering "gutless cowards" all throughout. I finally just concluded that the European left would leave behind a better tomorrow with a mass wave of seppuku.

My favorite paragraph of the article, because it cracked me up:

My favorite part of the article, because it shows how much we can trust the author:

"Some years ago, after crawling over all of his personal affairs and the affairs of all his immediate family, the police found an irregularity on a mortgage application, prosecuted Robinson, convicted him, and sent him to prison on that charge."

It was mortgage fraud to the tune of £160,000. Robinson conspired with four others to obtain mortgages by misrepresentation.

Hey, Threedee...I seldom have reason to be one with you on anything, but this post touched me...and I want to at least mention that I understand your feelings in this regard.

Your feelings mirror mine in a way.

I often think that the world would be a much better place if American conservatives would enter into a pact of mass seppuku. I doubt it would ever happen...and if it did, I would feel terrible, because I would lose several dear relatives and many wonderful close friends. But...

I'm reading Shogun for the third time right now...and the issue has been especially on my mind because of that.
 
I interviewed Tommy Robinson five years ago, after he had left the EDL (having by his own admission failed to keep extremists including actual neo-Nazis away from the movement).

So the author chooses to gloss over Robinson's criminal background. Is he misrepresenting anything else?
From the article you might get the impression that the problem of "grooming gangs" is being ignored. It isn't.


British-Pakistani researchers have found that 84% of all people convicted since 2005 for the specific crime of gang grooming were Asian.

Quilliam's researchers found 264 people have been convicted for the specific crime of gang grooming since 2005, and of those offenders 222 or 84% were Asian.

"We didn't want there to be a pattern of people from our ethnic demographic carrying out these attacks. But unfortunately we were proven wrong."

The author clearly doesn't think much of Robinson at all.
