The Biden administration‘s response to the horrific Christian school shooting on Monday has been pretty odd. Notably, unlike other attacks on religious or ethnic groups, it does not appear that any member of the Biden administration has even acknowledged that it was a Christian school, let alone that the Presbyterian school was attacked by a person who identified as transgender.
In his first public remarks on Monday after the tragedy occurred, Biden consoled the nation by yukking it up about ice cream, “good-looking kids,” and his family for more than two minutes before finally addressing the shooting. He didn’t mention any specifics, nor the Covenant School.The White House did, however, have time to repeatedly show its solidarity with the “transgender community,” whom it claims is under attack.
“So, today is Transgender Day of Visibility,” KJP said on Friday. “It’s a day where we celebrate the joy, strength, and courage of transgender Americans and their families and loved ones who support them.”
KJP added, “this community is under relentless attacks from Republicans across the country. Rather than uplifting or supporting everyone in our communities and focusing on issues that matter to the American people, they want to target transgender Americans and take away their freedoms.”
Biden also tweeted his support for “Transgender Day of Visibility.”
