In late September, detectives received information that a female student at Albert Einstein High School had been receiving inappropriate emails from Richard Brian Shemer, 50.

Senior Tatyana Blair isn't surprised by the allegations.

"He does speak inappropriately toward students often. I remember I was really creeped out by him. My counselor told me he talks to all students like that."

"He would just act like one of us, like one of the guys sometimes," says Luke Bradford, a student. "But when he'd be with our parents he'd be serious."

Bradford plays varsity baseball at Albert Einstein and until Monday, Shemer was his head coach.

Police say Shemer and the student had developed a close relationship during the 2012-2013 school year. During the current school year, police say, the student visited Shemer's classroom and had conversations about sexual domination and submission on and off campus.

"Sometimes in lunch we'd hang out in his room. He'd tell us to get out to talk to her, I guess. I didn't know what they were talking about."

Police say the conversations continued via email.

Things intensified Tuesday when police say Shemer emailed the victim for a nude photo. The message, sent from his public school account, was intercepted by her parents.
