$60,000 a year for panhandling? All 100% tax free which is equivalent to making $100,000 a year. That puts this guy in the top 5% of wage earners just off of the generosity of others. I would also bet that he gets transfer payments (welfare for the ignorant) as well pushing his take home income upwards.
Yet we are supposed to feel sorry for these folks? That is why I never give them money. I donate money through my church which helps needy people.
