Hey remember when Flash said the GOP wouldn't go after gay marriage or birth control?

Once again, Flash's judgment was catastrophically wrong...the GOP is absolutely coming for Griswold, Obergefell, and Lawrence even though Flash said they never would.

Here's Thomas making a fool out of Flash (not like that's very hard to do).

I am not surprised in the least that after curtailing reproductive choice, Republicans would seek to overturn marriage equality.

Along the same lines they overturned abortion rights, which Flash arrogantly and stupidly said would never happen.

I'm looking for the post where he said that now because I know it exists.

They're Federalists and their conversion from State's Rights advocates to Totalitarian Federalists is almost complete.

How long before they go after guns?

Isn't gay marriage and birth control the same thing?

Poor old LV426. He got his facts wrong again. Flash never said anything about the Supreme Court going after those rights. He said the Dobbs case said those rights are not affected by the decision about Roe. LV has problems with those false equivalents.

He thinks Thomas can tell the Supreme Court what to do. This was a concurring opinion while the majority voted for the Alito opinion.

As usual, LV (mina?)spends more time on personal attacks than politics.

I think the SCOTUS is safely in the hands of conservatives for the next 30 years, so so broad and virtually unlimited interpretation of the second amendment is probably safe.

You can probably find several hundred posts here from libertarian republicans practically guaranteeing Roe would never be overturned because it was just electoral red meat to fire up the base

How extreme can they go?

Can SCOTUS basically turn this nation into a theocracy?

Pay attention, voters. Is this the direction you're looking to go in?

Alito did, but Thomas did not.

True, and Alito's opinion was the majority opinion. None of the other justices signed on to the Thomas opinion meaning they were less likely to support his view about the other privacy rights.

But look at all the problems gay marriage has caused! I mean there's...

And then there's...

And what about...

Polygamists should also be allowed to marry.

Just did a quick google search on polygamy and interesting to see the articles that pop up over the past decade supporting it. You are correct though, if we're talking marriage equality polygamy would be included in that.
