Odd that @christiefan915 isn't cat-curious about the future of Space Force. I seem to recall the subject piqued her interest (for feminist reasons, I suppose) a while ago...

So obvious point, the alt right posters are all for combining a huge number of departments into a smaller number, but then turn around and support dividing the Air Force into the Air Force and Space Force.

With the uniform services, you want as much as possible to allow service men and women to have entire careers in one force. We are now looking at people switching between the Air Force and Space Force several times over a career. Each switch requires an entire bureaucratic mess.

What?

The Space Force is organized as part of the Department of the Air Force alongside the U.S. Air Force, its coequal sister service. The Department of the Air Force is headed by the civilian secretary of the Air Force, while the U.S. Space Force is led by the chief of space operations. The U.S. Space Force's status as part of the Department of the Air Force is intended to be an interim measure towards a fully independent Department of the Space Force, led by a civilian secretary of the Space Force.

It is a separate service. That means someone wants to transfer in and out, they have to switch services. That is a pain in the neck. To keep benefits, it is a several months long process.

What does that opinionated, random screed have to do with "alt right posters"?

I'll understand if you can't explain, naturally.

Saying that transferring services is a bureaucratic is not opinionated or random. It just is a fact.

The alt right posters are happy with the creation of a bureaucratic nightmare that many service men and women will have to go through multiple times.

Not only is it a huge waste of money and resources, it created another level of bureaucracy and to top it off, it sounds ridiculous.

Like a Saturday morning cartoon show from the 70's.

Fitting for something out of the childish brain of trump, though.

If you meet any alt right posters on your way to Mars, be sure to tell 'em.
