Adorable how loser is screeching for attention. :)
Three brilliant women defeated all odds and helped the white NASA men with the Apollo project.
Awesome movie.
Calculator was a common job in the aerospace industry up through the end of the 60's. A Calculator was a person that solved the math for equations submitted by engineers and scientists using a slide rule, etc. Many Calculators were women with degrees in fields like mathematics that couldn't get other employment due to their gender.
The job has since been made obsolete by scientific calculators and computers.

I'm glad I never had to deal with a slide rule.
What are you trying to say?
What are you trying to say?
WHY?
Because a scientific calculator is less of a bitch to operate.
He's saying technology made their jobs obsolete. Hell, my grandfather was a typist for the Seattle Times. Technology made his old job obsolete, and is attempting to make print news altogether obsolete.
I dont know what you are trying to say but I am here to tell you that almost to the man no one ever regretted giving up the slide rule for the calculator.

Yeah but what does it have to do with anything? This is about black women beating the odds.
Being a black woman is way worse than being a white woman.
What are you trying to say?
I was pointing out the reality of what that job entailed instead of the enhanced Hollywood version.
What were "enhanced" in the movie?
The station of their jobs.
What do you mean?
