I'm surprised, especially after the near assassination of president Trump, that the roofs weren't checked as a matter of course by security staff. Surely surveillance drones should have been operating all around the campus area.

Conservatives used to be big into "personal responsibility." He's responsible for his words and their effects. Whether or not he really believed that tripe he spewed doesn't matter. He spewed it to make money and a name for himself. Some people seem to struggle with the concept that free speech comes with consequences.

I wondered the same thing. Apparently the democrats have made some pretty credible threats against him for a long time. Which is why he had the body armor on. Unfortunately the slug ricocheted off the vest and hit his neck.
The OP thinks outlawing AR-15's is the answer to a democrat using a bolt action .30-06 with ANTIFA (Brown Shirt) and transgender hate slogans on it.
