Holy shit, look who New Orleans just elected mayor!

She’s a SMU grad! From an identity perspective I was looking at New Orleans demographics and it looks like the City is around 85% black and white, with the Latino population just under 10%.

Yet they elected a Latino Mayor. Not too many Latino Mayors of big cities in the U.S.

Hopefully identity politics is dying.

No more chocolate city, then?
All the black pols have made Huey Long look like Peter The Apostle when it comes to morals. They know when they need a change.

As for latinos, they're a big demographic there now; shipped them in for the 'rebuilding' after Katrina. Mississippi is also full of them. A big number of blacks were bussed out to places like Houston, and even to Utah. Some studies showed that former hood rats thrived in the mostly white small towns, better education results, and of course just re-ghettoized in shitholes like Houston.
