Okay, okay: I know that Christians, on the whole, really aren't dumber than anyone else. It does strike me though that there are a very large number of really transparent scams out there designed to take advantage of Christian credulity.

I'll give this lot credit for this much: they propose to be equal opportunity exploiters. They're planning on broadening their market to Muslim and Buddhist dummies too. :D

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. -- Water drinkers in California can now cleanse their souls while quenching their thirst with blessed bottled water.

Wayne Enterprises Inc., of San Joaquin County, Calif., is offering its customers "Holy Drinking Water."

The bottles contain normal, purified water. But they have all been blessed by members of the Catholic and Anglican clergy.

The company hopes to expand the blessing to other faiths, as well.

The bottle also features a warning to sinners. "If you are a sinner or evil in nature, this product may cause burning, intense heat, sweating, skin irritations, rashes, itchiness, vomiting, bloodshot and watery eyes, pale skin color and oral irritations."

The company is hoping to ship 75 cases of the holy water to soldiers serving in Iraq.

Jesus said “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”, strongly implying that no one is without sin. Which is quite true.

I think this is a bad marketing mistake. Their target audience are true believers, and might, and probably do, really believe that holy water burns sinful people. They might very well also take Jesus’ admonishment seriously. The people who laugh at the idea of holy water being able to burn anyone, are people like me. I’m not the target demographic, and I’m not buying this. In which case, who is going to buy this stuff? I say it would sell like hotcakes to the morons, if they take that one part out.
