House GOP Rejects Hunter Biden Offer to Testify Publicly

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee rebuffed an offer by Hunter Biden to testify publicly in response to a subpoena for a closed-door deposition.

Biden’s attorney Abbe Lowell on Tuesday told Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer his client would testify at a public hearing on Dec. 13, the date the panel has subpoenaed him to testify in private, or another day that month.

Comer later said Biden was “trying to play by his own rules” and that the panel expects “full cooperation with our subpoena for a deposition.”

Of course they do, the last thing they want the American public to see is how circumstantial at best their case is, they’d rather do it behind closed doors so that they can frame and leak what was said to create innuendo for the right wing media to echo as fact just like they have doing all along. He called their bluff

And they knew that would be what he wanted.

They also know he is now likely just going to take the 5th (ala Trump) on all questions, citing that he has open criminal investigations going on. They will tout that as 'proof of guilt' while they say the opposite re Trump doing it, and knowing any good defense lawyer will push him to do that.

Hunter has a new legal team, rather than sitting back they are going on the aggressive, suing Rudi for exposing personal data, suing Barr for beginning an investigation on him, requesting Trump appear in both lawsuits, and surely, appeal upon appeal to every request made by the Comer charade
