Poor Blabo...Are the tax cuts a good deal for the middle class and the poor?

Obama seemed to think so, but I can only speak for myself, and I'm quite satisfied with them ...... that opinion may change with changes in the economy......
If it gets a freakin' worse, I'll be looking for another tax cut like the last.........

The "poor" don't pay any federal income tax or very, very little. The only thing better than that is a rebate, and a large percentage of them get that too...

Poor Blabo...how does your effective tax rate compare to the 1%'s?

The middle class (and some of the poor) pay a higher effective tax rate than the 1% do, Blabo. Was it a good idea to cut taxes when Bush started 2 wars (one of 'em was over non-existent WMD) and pushed an unfunded pill bill?

Yes, or no?

Yes, or no?

So the Average Tax Rate for the top 400 was 18.1% in 2008(some higher, some lower)

The lowest tax rate today is 10%....thats the max. the poor might pay without any deductions....with deductions the 10% rate applies to one person making $17,300
A married couple could make $26,600 and only pay 10% in Fed. Taxes.....

Whats your point?

Much depends on the source of the income, but the law to everyone, not only the rich ....

Most Americans disagree with you, Blabo, according to this poll.

ABC News/Washington Post Poll. Feb. 1-4, 2012. N=1,000 adults nationwide. Margin of error ± 4.

"Do you think the current U.S. tax system favors the middle class, favors the wealthy, or treats both groups about equally?"

Favors the wealthy: 68%

Favors the middle class: 9%
