Politicians in heat of moment
Urge President Obama to release emergency home fuel aid
The Bay State’s congressional leaders, governor and heating assistance groups are calling on President Obama to immediately release millions more dollars in aid as thousands of Hub families run out of money to warm their homes.
U.S. Sens. John Kerry and Paul Kirk and most of the state’s 10 U.S. representatives are urging Obama to release $590 million in emergency heat aid, some of which would assist Massachusetts families.
Kerry, Kirk and 46 other senators signed a petition last week urging Obama to cut loose the $590 million, part of $5.1 billion allocated for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
“I urge President Obama to help protect millions of Americans by making emergency funding available immediately,” Kerry said.
The Senate petition was sent Thursday. A House version with at least 88 signatures will be sent to Obama today.
White House spokeswoman Moira Mack said Obama is considering the “timing and process of release” of the funds.

Just before the senate vote he will release the funds and tell them to go vote democrat.
What about all the global warming they are having, I thought oil was bad, why are they not passing out solar panels, caulking and blankets.
