Union-busters mounted a coordinated campaign, even telling Tennesseans that the union wanted to take their guns?!!

Unions have fucked the consumer the last 30 years. they have put our biggest employers out of business. If any other market did what unions do, they would be tried for price fixing. To fix a price for labor is no different.

Most people who are anti-union are jealous. Plain and simple, that they don't have these kind of protections themselves. Unions didn't put any of our major employers out of business. It was their own short sightedness, complacency and greed that did them in. Don't blame the workers when management of a company screws the pooch.

Who is blaming the workers ? The problem is unions. Know what nobody is jealous of ? Union dues and getting paid the same as the stiff next to you d3spite working harder. But va and tenn are both right to work so unions are moot.

We've once again defeated the CWA at our workplace. They're still in their 60 day access period, however we already have 55% signed on to the "we don't want it" petition. Knowing that they have no chance they've taken to sitting lonely and quietly in a meeting room nearby our workspace. I think it is greed, they get paid to do this, and they are going to scrape out every dime they can regardless of the will of the employees.

Imagine, with the rancor it creates, 55% were willing to sign the petition putting their names out there for everybody to see. More are against it, but are afraid of repercussion from fellow employees. They feel that we've won so they don't have to risk it.

LMAO... the above is complete lunacy. Thanks for the chuckle.

Wrong again dunce; most people who are anti-union recognize how their opportunities are limited and how union Marxist tactics destroy industry leading to a loss of work, unemployment and malaise. They actually have a brain and think for themselves rather than rely on union thug management to do their thinking for them.

They are also more likely to advance, be more productive and more reliable.

Unions never did a thing for me except made my paycheck smaller. Screw them bastages.

I suppose it's just natural for a self-absorbed little turd to not recognize all the ways unions made his life easier.

Weekends off?

Thank a union...

Decent wage?

Thank a union...

I'd rather have two days off per week when I want them, not when some asshole decides for me, so no "thank a union" there.

Regards to wages, I've been paid much better in non-union shops, so you are again wrong-o, Zippy.

You ever taken a risk? Have you ever had your flat nutsack on the line?

That is what the smallest brains in America tell you to think...

Unions are the only hope for America today. But too much of anything is a bad thing. Forced unions is the union flaw. To state that Unions put employers out of business is a complete lack of knowledge about NAFTA.

The recent movement is to end unions. Large corporations are doing this today. Freedom is not an issue for a corporation.

The People! need to recognize that it's either raise minimum wage or allow unions in big corp.

Small brains think they are allowed because they don't research ANYTHING. Other small brains think that raising the minimum wage is the only possible way to fix our situation. (While smarter, it's still a failure, the only fix is Unionization of workers)

If you are making the claim that unions set a price for labor, you should be able to tell us what that price was.

What price did unions fix for labor!

Can you give us that magic number?

Union workers make more PERIOD and thats proven the average Private Sector Middleclass worker makes 750.00 per week their union counterparts make 950.00 plus better benefits.

Having said that I was a supervisor whos company was facing a union challenge. I and other supvs were called into a meeting and told by the VP to write down the names of any employees that are being vocal about voting for the union, we were to circulate constantly and demean the union and insinuate there would be firings, layoffs and a protracted contract dispute that would lead to lower wages, less hours no benefits etc and we were to "INSINUATE" without outright stating that employees that were touting voting for the union would not be forgotten.

All bullshit the union won the vote, the workers immediately benefited they made more money have better working conditions and benefits and HOURS.
This was the casino industry those casinos are still flourishing and the two depts that went union the Dealers and Croupiers and Security were the beneficiaries.

There is an attitude in this country eminating from the rich and corporatists that americans SHOULD WORK FOR THEM FOR PEANUTS. They want low paid lackys so they can get even richer and whine even more about how they are abused.

Instead of non union workers allowing the far right to tell them how the unions are OVERPAID they should consider finding some brains and thinking hey maybe we should be union too. I laugh at people that work for less, have no benefits, get treated WORSE and then allow themselves to be bullshitted about how good they have it and union sucks.

DUH ever think why they dont want unions, they want you to keep working for alot less.
