How The Rich Get Richer

A businessman walked into a New York City bank and asked for the loan officer. He said he was going to Europe on business for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000.

The loan officer said the bank would need some security for such a loan. The business man then handed over the keys to a Rolls Royce that was parked on the street in front of the bank. Everything checked out and the loan officer accepted the car as collateral for the loan. An employee then drove the Rolls into the bank's underground garage and parked it there. Two weeks later the businessman returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest which came to $15.41. The loan officer said, 'We do appreciate your business and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a bit puzzled. While you were away we checked and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is why you would bother to borrow $5,000?' The business man replied: 'Where else in New York City can I park my car for 2 weeks for 15 bucks?'

Surprise, surprise! The new tax plan negotiated by Obama with the Republicans means that the rich will get richer and the poor, well, theyll pay higher taxes.

I mean, I'm going to assume it's the smart ducks one, since they seem to have at least a cursory knowledge of skiing down hills of money, which is more than I can say for myself.

Come to think of it, it HAS to be smart ducks. Because that's the only way you can explain how they can manipulate objects designed for human hands without the use of thumbs, or even fingers of any sort.

the rich get richer because they dont let poor lazy proles take all their shit, and they instead use that money to make solid investments which provides an even greater return on their net worth

Dear Kenneth,

What's your point, exactly? As the good Captain has already pointed out, your post only demonstrates that the wealthy became wealthy because they are wise with money. Intelligent, wealthy individuals such as Bill Gates are the ones who move society forward, and provide high-paying jobs to millions of Americans. How many jobs do poor people create, Kenneth? Hell, I am middle class and I do not create any jobs, nor do I produce anything for the betterment of society.

I believe the following statement adequately summarizes the difference between your ideology and mine: when I see someone driving a Bentley, I think to myself, "there's a guy who gets shit done"; when you look at the same guy, you think to yourself, "there's a guy who screwed the working class to get where he's at."
