But I agree, he has compromised his moral integrity by using this issue to collect money and for political capital. Its a shame because a smart man like him should know better.
 
Huckabee is a candidate that I would vote for. I didn't think there would be any this time around. I still don't think he has a snowball's chance of getting anywhere but everytime I see some news personality have to acknowledge that he is a candidate I have to smile.

The dude is a sell out and behaves and espouses rhetoric that is about as far from Christian as I can imagine.
 
Huckabee is not a "hypocrite" or any of that. He specifically stated that he would accept the support of anybody but would not change his position because of that support. He was clear, he said what he would do.

I saw a poll that has him ahead in Iowa now.
 
I've had it with bible thumpers and their rejection of science and education.

Yeah but, wouldn’t you like to run against one of them? I have no problem if the R’s want to nominate Huckabee, because that “nice guy” front isn’t going to hold when independents get a look at what’s behind it. His economic populism could be formidable in our current situation. If it wasn’t for the fact that he is actually bug fuck nuts I might be worried.
 
After re-reading this thread I went to the net and read some more stuff about Huckabee and how he is shaking up things on the republican side. Again, I have to laugh. I love it. They are now wondering what it will mean if he actually wins in Iowa. Cool. It would tickle me to death if he somehow siezed the R nomination, Darla's last post on this thread notwithstanding.

Hey if he wins I have 500 dollars coming to me. I bet my brother early this year that Rudy wouldn't be the nominee, he is sure he is going to be.

I have no problem with it on many levels.

Huckabee was the only honest one on the debates...closely followed by Hunter,Tancredo and John McCain...he was honest saying he did not support Gay Marriage...how does this translate to 'Hating gays'?


And by the way talk about dishonesty...how about the Log Cabin B/General(retired)who went on a tirade about Gays in the Military...turns out he was a plant by the Hillary Clinton Campaign...talk about liars and frauds!
 
RObby, why are the log cabin republicans giving him money if he hates them? You should inquire into the beliefs of the lcr instead of going on tirades.
