Use the legal field, I know a lot of really good lawyers who are not good marketers, and good marketers who are poor lawyers.

The poor lawyers who happen to be good at marketing are doing much better financially that the opposit. I think this happens in a lot of other fields also. For example, Apple provides a better Computer than Microsoft... But Microsoft sells lots more than Apple!

Apple is run by a bunch of control freaks who wanted to monopolize the market and gouge their customers. They failed and that is a good thing.

I see it with plumbers... Some of them advertise that they are Christian. I know a couple of these guys and they are the first to rip you off! But they do well because the market is huge and enough people are stupid enough to use them becasue they claim to be Christian!

Marketing is a valuable service. It provides information to consumers. The fact that some lawyers fail in it is not a defect of the market but a valuable attribute.

Yeah, I see many companies that advertise their environmental efforts, fair pay to workers, charitable works, etc. We should stop all that.
