Figured Id take advantage of the 20% drop in the past 12 months and get the house of my family's dreams. We sold our current house last week for dirt cheep.

Now we will have a pool, a huge back yard, and the nanny will have her own room!.

there is nothing wrong with trading up in this market when you know your going to stay a long time

The ocean is going to be two miles away! The pool will be in the back yard!

Nuthing like a quick dip after being at the beach all day. No I hate those salt water pools.
 
Lots of people I know have these new saltwater pools, they dont work, they all have to add chlorine!

You should install a salt water system. They're the best around and chlorine costs are going up up and away. It'll add about $1500 to the cost of the pool, but it'll be well worth it.

Just make sure you know where your leech lines are on your septic system. We dug one up t a client's house and the mofon got pissed to high heaven. But he never told us where they were. It cost him I think over $7,000 to repair.
 
We dont have leech fields around here.

The house next door sold two years ago for 745,000. I got mine for 499,000.

im trying to talk my sister who is 27 into buying a home now. shes single.. first decent paying job. I may even buy one for her and let her rent to own or something. such a good market for first time home buyers right now.
