This guy is pretty much a straight shooter, Trump is dead.

He should have turned the complaint over to Congress as required, but i'm happy to see where he was in a difficult spot.
 
The law says SHALL and he did not do what he had to do. He decided that it did not reach "urgency'. His job was not to decide that, but to pass it on to congress. Instead, he gave it to the president who is presumably the subject of the report. Any guesses what Daffy would do with it? And you know he launched an investigation to find the whistleblower.

The phone conversation is protected by executive privilege, the law says shall, I’m willing to acknowledge that there is a conflict in law, caution was warranted.

The good news is that at least a redacted summary of the phone call has been released.

A good argument can be made that Trump waived executive privilege by authorizing the release of the transcript.
