I can’t hear anything below some dB #. I rarely wear my hearing aids. Weren’t worth nearly the money I paid for them but they help a little.

Yeah I had hearing aids long time ago. The problem now is that they are so expensive.

They helped me somewhat. I can differentiate various sounds such as a knock on the door, motorcycles, cars, phone ringing and many things.

Nope. However, it's hard to talk right if you cannot hear yourself.

For example, a person with a hearing loss from whatever cause might slur some words or talk loudly without realizing it.

I didn’t like how my voice sounded when I first got my aids. Sounded too high pitched. Helped a lot with music though.

LOL yeah. At least when I wore hearing aids, they helped me to regulate the volume of my voice. Without them, they usually tell me I talk too loud, LOL.

My friend who fitted me said I need to wear them all the time or I’d get dementia. The fact that I post here proves him right.
