I was watching Jools Holland live last night on BBC2 and he had the Beach Boys on, not some of them but the whole kit and kaboodle. Fuck, I really couldn't believe that Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, and Bruce Johnston were all in the same building. What was equally amazing is that they still sounded pretty much like they did back in the day, falsetto is not funny when you are septuagenarians!! Pet Sounds is one of the best albums ever.

I saw them in 1984 at the 4th of July concert in the DC Mall. There was a bigger crowd there that day then was at Woodstock. I took part in a NORML march. Had a right good time that day.

Was that with Brian Wilson? I didn't think he had got out of the grip of that fucking Hollywood shrink Dr. Eugene Landy, who screwed him up and ripped him off.
