If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State. Telling the Big Lie is hardly worth the time it takes to tell the lie when nobody is listening. Goebbels surely believed that controlling the machinery of public speech in order to tell Big Lies was the only power the state required to legitimate murder and slavery. Obviously, Goebbels had to make sure that the German public would never hear the truth.
Abolishing freedom of speech was harder for Democrats to accomplish because of technological advances since the 1930s. Big Tech billionaires solved the problem for the Democrat Party by being more than willing to do the heavy lifting. Basically, in order for Democrats to realize their goal they had to take the Big Lie to the next step.

Nazi Germany’s political leaders promoted the lie that gave them the political power, and Germany’s industrial wealth.
NOTE: Hitler had to rearm Germany. American Democrats already control the most powerful military in the world. Democrats are doing the same things for the same reasons that motivated Germany’s Nazis.
Finally, the government lying about COVID-19 is a classic Big Lie. The lie started with the number of deaths a simple flu supposedly killed. The lie grew into the government saving lives with vaccines. The biggest lies will come covering up the number of deaths forced vaccination will cause.
