Where did they say they picked it as best costume? I missed that part.
As a side note: it did not say who the employee was nor did it say what party that employee was a member of... unless I also missed that.
Then skip to the quote I gave you where the NAACP said they appreciated her moving so quickly toward appropriate action. But I understand, you have a strong desire to paint all Reps as racists.
The costume was wrong, no one disagrees. The actions of one person are not indicitive of an entire group. I guarantee you can find racists/bigots/sexist people among all groups. So please, enough of your idiotic attempts to paint conservatives with one brush stroke.

B. Who are you trying to paint as this group of racists? One person in immigration group wears an offensive costume. That makes everyone in the federal immigration department a racist?

Given the description of the costume in its entirety, it's pretty clear what it was intended to represent. If nothing else it shows very poor judgment. Apparently there were a few other costumes that were also considered to be in differing degrees, offensive in some way. Those weren't described, however.

is there a serious reading problem here? the article said it was praised for "originality". It says nothing about an award.

thank you. I must have the selective reading glasses on. No question the costume was in poor taste, but again, it does not say what party the employee was a part of, yet Desh wants to paint all conservatives as racists because of the actions of one person. Despite the fact that the NAACP praised her speed in handling the situation.
