Of course they would .. irrespective of what he did in Iraq.

Yet, George Bush DID save MILLIONS of black and brown people from AIDS, malaria, and other diseases .. and many democrats who claim to care about minorities and under-served people treat that as no big deal .. don't want to talk about it .. don't want anyone else talking about it.

It's just black people .. not like Bush saved real people.

I think the issue people (including myself) had in the other thread is that the thread was about Bush's IRAQ legacy - and you came in like his bestest apologist praising his African policies.

The idea that liberals didn't credit Bush for his AIDS policy in Africa is revisionist horseshit. Fucking BONO was praising Bush for it. BONO. That fucking guy. But let's pretend that no one paid attention becuase "it's just black people."

GWB did do that, and he is to be commended. I was glad to hear Jimmy Carter mention it at the library dedication the other day.

Let me tell ya something - I'm not inclined to give Bush "credit" for too much, whether the people are black or white or whatever. Your implication of racism is pretty bogus.

Like I said before - it's like someone starting a thread about the Holocaust, and then someone jumping in to credit Hitler's economic policies, and then calling the other posters on the thread about the Holocaust hypocrites because they refuse to praise Hitler for his economic policies.
 
It is funny to me that the one thing GWB did that we can almost ALL agree was his best move was in conflict with his basic principals.

George Bush is the same contradiction that LBJ was.

LBJ lied us into a serious escalation of the Vietnam War .. and almost 60,000 American soldiers lost their lives and never came home because of his lie.

Yet, I can applaud LBJ for his attempts at a Great Society .. which was essentially socialism.

Much of the same is true of Bush. A monster and a fool on foreign policy .. and a saint who almost single-handedly saved millions of lives.
 
I'd also like to add that where liberals were critical of the Bush AIDS policy they criticized that he didn't do enough because there was a deadly (yes, deadly) focus on abstinence only programs that were fucking stupid.

But, hey, who cares what really happened? The important point is that Bush is a saint and Democrats are racist.

I don't hate democrats .. most of my family are democrats, as is my wife.

But there ain't shit special about being a democrat. You seem to think that it means that Obama and democrats are special and exempt from serious criticism. I don't.

The fact is that people are not perfect, nobody is all bad or all good.

Bush was a miserable failure, for the most part, as president... yet he accomplished some good and while I don't know him, he is likely a good person.

The Boston Bomber likely has done something good in his life also.. he likely accomplished something good and has some good in him.
