It is no secret that the right has a lot of hatred.

And some of that is certainly being returned from the left.

But the right takes it further. They claim that since they are 'the real America,' (whatever that means) that they have a more rightful claim to America, and that if you don't like it then you should leave.

It's the old 'love it or leave it thing.'

That's dumb. So very dumb.

I'll explain why.

What if they got what they are demanding? What if they got everything they are asking for? Let's just say for a moment that the right got everything it wanted.

All the liberals leave, or they switch sides and become conservatives and Trump supporters. Put a big wall around the whole Trump country and keep everybody else out. Oh, how wonderful it would be, right? No more liberals, no more PC. No caring about wusses or pitiful people. They are all gone. Only the strong shall survive. Everybody of one mind, all in agreement. Get rid of all the illegals and liberals, heck, toss out the lazy poor who only want free stuff too, right? Everything would be rosy, right? Everybody pro-Trump. He really would have 100% approval rating, no BS.

Well, not exactly.

In that case, then it becomes required that everyone shares one political view. None others are allowed.

And of course, everybody who is still here would WANT that, right? So what's the problem - everybody would be happy.

Here's the problem: People are no longer free to believe what they want. Only that one view is permitted, remember?

Then America just ceased to be the land of the free.

You can't have it both ways.

You can't claim to live in the land of the free if you shut down freedom of political viewpoint.

Protecting freedom means protecting the right of others to disagree with you.

Protecting freedom does not mean saying: 'Love It Or Leave It.' You can't say that and have freedom.

It is dumb to think it can be both ways.

Freedom doesn't come easy.

Freedom means you have to let liberals believe what they want to believe, and you have to let them be here.

This puts Trump fans in a conundrum.

Because if you want the land of Trump, then you ain't got the land of the free.

And there is another problem.

Freedom Makes America Great.

You ain't got freedom, you ain't got a great country.

No freedom, no greatness.

As Sargent Joe Friday would put it: "Sorry ma'am. Just the facts."

This mythical 'Trump Country?' It is not great. There's no freedom. Big problem.

A basic flaw has been exposed in Trump support. Very basic. Instrumentally basic.

Kinda blows it away, actually.
 
Trump opponents, do not engage them in fisticuffs, etc. If they push you, shoot them in the head. It will go better if you are in a stand your ground state. Never let them touch you without horrible consequences for them.

My take is: do not touch me in violence or else.

The Trumpers need to know the circle in which they are circumscribed by the dictates of better people.

Do not touch!
 
It makes no sense to physically confront others over political differences of opinion.

These are disputes about ideas, not brute force.

I have to disagree with your premise here. Conservatives believe in individual liberty, property rights, and personal responsibility. Liberals on the other hand like to restrict other people's liberty (freedom) for the "greater good" (as determined by them) and confiscate their wealth for the same purpose. A better title would be:

"If Liberalism Were To Be Stamped Out, America Would Cease To Be The Land Of Free Stuff"

Why should there be any guilt? If they attack you, then they're just getting what they deserve. It's their fault, not yours.

Trump wants to turn the country into a combination of a shithole banana republic and North Korea. That's why his 'negotiations' with North Korea haven't gone anywhere. He's too much in awe of Kim.

Well it is certainly anti-freedom and anti-great-America to tell people with whom you disagree that they should leave the country. That is a solution to nothing. It's just being mean and not thinking things out.

Of course he can't think things out. He doesn't have the attention span to stay on one thought long enough. He's notoriously impulsive.

It was amusing that his White House made up the whole schtick about Rosenstein wanting to fire Comey because he made damaging political remarks about Hillary during the campaign with very little time left prior to the election. That was absurd on face value for Trump to go through with that because Trump had also been making damaging political remarks about Hillary during the same time period.

Then Trump does that interview the next day and says no, he was going to fire Comey all along, that the Russia investigation was so bothersome. Well that totally blows the White House cover story out of the water. He couldn't keep the train of thought to stick with the previous lie long enough so he blew his own cover story because he didn't want to appear to do something that somebody else recommended to him.

Don’t you just love screeds based on a faulty premise?
 
Freedom means defending another person's right to state a view different from your own.

Wanting them to leave the country because they believe differently is not freedom. It's fascism.

Trump fans who want liberals to leave are toying with fascism.

Fascism doesn't make America great.

Freedom of speech makes America great.

And we had that before Trump.
