If not Hillary, who?

Hillary is the odds-on favorite to be the Jackass Partys' standard-bearer now that the dark age of Obama is drawing to a close.

But what if she doesn't - or cannot run?

Who else do you have, Democrats?

they should choose a happy man......

Theres always Smokin Joe Biden. Obama needs someone to knock him out of stupidest president ever. Jarratt can get her four terms in office

Weiner could throw something into the ring.....his hat maybe.....

maybe they could run Ted Kennedy......there may be people who don't know he's dead.....

That's cause ya'll have your heads in the Fox News hole. Mark Warner lacks Hilliary's political savy but as a national candidate he's one of the few national level Democrats who's won elections in the south. Warner also has an excellent blend of both private sector and public sector experience nor is he an ideologue. Corey Booker is another I wouldn't underestimate but he lacks Warner's private sector experience. He does, however, have better political savy than Warner and he's also better educated than Warner in law and pubic policy. If Hilliary declines to run I would not be surprised to Biden as the proverbial front runner only to be eclipsed by one of these two. I think Warner would have the advantage over Booker due to his cross over appeal to angry white rednecks in the south. I'd personally favor Warner due to his tech industry background and I'm really impressed with his positions on education which is probably the most important issue facing America.

So what have you Rednecks got? Let's put the shoe on the other foot!

The honest to gods truth is that there is not one single southern conservative Republican that is a viable candidate outside of the south. Perry, Gingrich, Paul, Cruze, etc, are utterly unelectable outside of the south (which only represents about 25% of the electorate). The GOP has only two viable candidates for 2016 POTUS. Both are Governors of Northern States. Both are pragmatic establishment GOP conservatives (not southern reactionaries).

#1. Chris Christie.
#2. John Kasich.

And that's all the GOP has.

chris Christie in the midst of a scandal that will make him completely unviable.

Not to mention he in reality is way way right.

the right has no one who can win a national election.

Kashich would NEVER get the party nod as the party is now

you don't get to choose who .

the people as a whole will choose.

No republican alive can win the republican primary and then the national election.

the republicans have done this to themselves.

when you cheat to win eventually you will lose elections because your party cant cheat enough to win anymore.

Cheat away and it will not help you.

It will merely get you caught because you cant cheat enough to win without getting caught

You said that about Romney too.

You're kidding yourself there Desh. That all depends on who the Dems nominate. A Christie or a Kasich would crush a liberal ideologue like Elizabeth Warren. She's the opposite of a Ted Cruze. She's uttterly unelectable in the south (and most of the west too). Though that's not as bad a position as it would be for a southern conservative ideologue it's still a bridge to far. An establishment Republican, like Kasich or Christie could probably beat Elizabeth Warren quite easily.

So it all depends on who the nominees are.

The Dems will crush whomever gets forced through the republican juicer that is the primary season.

what ever is left of them will make them unelectable.

Mark Warner?

Never heard of him.

Isn't Corey Brooker lugging some corruption-related baggage?

Is that all you've got, Democrats?

one wonders how someone can claim to have never heard of the former governor and senior senator for Virginia and simultaneously act as if they possess any degree of wisdom whatsoever regarding the American political system.

funny stuff.

You think the national electorate has heard of Mark Warner?

How'd that work last time?

Former Virginia governor currently senior senator. Made his living with cell phones in NOVA.
Likes to be thought of as moderate.
Really more of a veep at this point. Not very dynamic, would be a hard sell for the donkeys at the top of the ticket.

Booker does have baggage he cant overcome.
