If Trump pardons Flynn it ‘will be the beginning of the unraveling of his presidency

House Intelligence Committee member Rep. Dennis Heck (D-WA) on Friday warned Donald Trump against considering a pardon for his onetime national security adviser Michael Flynn, telling CNN’s Kate Bolduan that doing so “will be the beginning of the unraveling of his presidency.”

Trump kept the door opened for pardoning Flynn, who pleaded guilty earlier this month to lying to the FBI about the nature of his conversations with the Russian ambassador. “I don’t want to talk about pardons with Mike Flynn yet,” Trump told reporters when asked if he’s considered exonerating he longtime political ally.

“If President Trump pardons Mike Flynn or any of the other people involved in this, I confidently predict it will be the beginning of the unraveling of his presidency,” Heck said, comparing such a move with Richard Nixon’s “Saturday Night Massacre.”

Heck also pointed out that special counsel Robert Mueller included a binding agreement in his plea deal with Flynn requiring the retired general to comply with state and local authorities.

“The president can pardon these people for violations of federal crimes, but cannot pardon them for violations of state crimes,” Heck explained

Trump will not go down. He is in the act of destroying the FBI and CIA now. Who will be able to provide the evidence? Trump thinks only about Trump. He will pardon the whole administration if it saves him. Trump was in cahoots with Russia for a very long time, but it was Hillary's fault and she should be prosecuted. Flynn was corrupt as hell. Wilbur Ross was probably ass deep in Russian money laundering when he ran the Cyprus bank. The bank was the Russian oligarchs favorite bank. That too was Hillary's fault. We cannot let her get away with it.

He cant pardon state crimes, and there are plenty of those.
 
That is a high bar, for a state prosecutor to take on a president. NY already stopped cases against Ivanka and Jared. They had them dead and stopped under Trump pressure.
 
Dems don't have the votes to impeach. The Rerpubs are all talk. They will fall in line to maintain power. Trump is here for 4 years. Then he will run to his offshore bank . richer and more corrupt than he has ever been.

Nobody can be dumb enough to think that could happen. Trump is shedding cabinet and governmental people by the dozen. He may have to do some governing. But then, he is incapable of that. It is barely possible for Trump to make 4. Even his voters eventually have to understand what an incompetent joke he is.

These same people have been "predicting" an end to Trump since June 2015. How's that predicting working out? But these same people never said a word of warning when OBAMA pardoned the traitor that was responsible for the actual ability for any foreign nation to have access to US classified intelligence.
