For me it would be my father who taught 2 very valuable things.
1. An honest man should never have to tell you he's honest. (I've learned it's true about other attributes as well like intelligence.)
2. Treat people based on how they behave and not on who they are or what they say. (This has helped me sift through so much bullshit in life it's almost unimaginable)
