An illegal immigrant is behind bars in Allegheny County, charged with the attempted murder of a 70-year-old man.

The victim was shot through his stomach and out his lower back in a random attack while visiting his brother at a local nursing and rehabilitation center.

Illegal immigrant tells CNN he supported Trump 'for the economy'​

An illegal immigrant spoke to CNN for and said that he supported President-elect Trump for the economy.

"So you support Donald Trump because of the economy?" The astonished CNN reporter asked, to which he responded, "for the economy, yes."

The man also said, "Democrats forget the promise when these guys are in office in Washington," while explaining why Latino citizens voted for Trump.

CNN spoke to Hispanic families with illegal status for the segment.
