Tyler police were called to the 200 block of Savannah Drive just after 9:30 Tuesday night.
They say 26-year-old Francisco Burgos had kicked in the front door to the residence asking for help because he had been shot.
EMS was called to the scene.
After being examined, it was determined that Burgos had not been shot, but did have minor cuts and scrapes to one of his hands.
It is believed that Burgos was hallucinating due to taking an unknown drug.
No one in the home was injured.
No charges have been filed.
