Inflation fears rise to highest since Nov. 2023 as consumer sentiment hits 7-month low

A rising number of Americans are anxious about the state of the US economy — and it's all about inflation.

The latest University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey released Friday showed headline sentiment declined to its lowest level in seven months as pessimism over the inflation outlook drove down February's preliminary read and one-year inflation expectations jumped to 4.3% from 3.3% last month.

This was the highest reading for inflation expectations since November 2023 and marked two consecutive months of "unusually large" increases, according to the release.

It would appear that everyone except the deplorable garbage MAGATs is aware that #TRE45ONv2.0's tariffs, chaos, and saber-rattling is going to do no one any good -- and will make things worse.

Look at the little libtards sources. lol They do love them some clickbait don't they. University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey and yahoo news are two of the best most reliable sources a libtard can find. Good work dumbass.

No one is crying... and things are not going up twenty or thirty per cent... I shop just about every day... No problems...with supply or prices.... I am a smart shopper... and I do get eggs from the neighbor's chickens and ducks...so there's that...;)
Give it time Trump has been backpedaling on putting his tariffs on.
When and IF he does that is when prices will skyrocket.
Give Trump time he will fuck up the economy like he did last time.

I wonder if Trump realizes that with the tariffs he is putting on Mexico and Canada he could be killing one of the Nations largest auto makers.
If Ford does go down it will put over 170,000 people out of work , then add in all the other people who work in supporting industries.
They say for every one auto worker employed there are 6 to 8 other people they effect, ( 6 X 170,000 is a lot of people )
If Trump puts these tariffs on Mexico and Canada he should also put the same percent tariffs on China, South Korea , Japan, other countries that import cars to this country, as it is now GM imports a lot of cars and car parts from Japan and South Korea and they aren't having tariffs on giving GM a really big advantage.
IF Trump is going to put tariffs on he should do it on every country, 20% across the board, NOT signaling out country by country, they are all using us for profit.
