Yeah, I was considering showing my support for the Evergreen State and moving down to Oregon. That would cause the WA iq to climb further and the OR iq to drop a little.

I'm surprised Hawaii is so low.

I've tried to get a bit away from comparing by state, I think in general you would find:
Suburbs: highest IQ
Small Towns: next highest
Rural: next highest
(Liberal Democrat dominated) Inner Cities: lowest

You wonder if IQ tests are only given out in English as Cali is low and has high hispanic population, so does Arizona and I have found that a very smart state.
Also the older states (ie: with higher percent of seniors) seem to be high in the list as well as you would expect older people to know more.

Would you honestly say that people in Manhattan have lower IQ's than people in Suburbs? San Fran?

Maybe those inner cities afflicted by poverty, but not the posh cities.
