Iran-Backed Militia Threatens More Attacks on US Troops After Drone Strikes

A militia group supported by Iran has targeted U.S. bases in Iraq as regional tensions continue to build over the Israel-Hamas war.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of Tehran-backed militias, claimed responsibility for two drone attacks which targeted the al-Asad airbase in western Iraq used by U.S. forces and one drone strike aimed at a base in northern Iraq, The Associated Press reported.

U.S. forces intercepted all three drones, destroying two but only damaging the third, which led to minor injuries among coalition forces at the western base, according to U.S. Central Command.

~ Iran offers moral and military support to Hamas, whose attack on southern Israel on October 7 killed at least 1,400 people and has been followed by Israel's bombardment of Gaza, which local officials say has killed 3,500 people, according to Reuters.

This being the same IDF that got their asses handed to them by Hezbollah in 2006, and whos last trip into Gaza was brutal.

No, it's the same IDF that killed more than three times as many Hezbollah then, and have held against a half dozen enemies since 1948.

The UN intervention is what saved Hezbollah's ass.

I think that you need to face the fact that the IDF is not very competent, as we just saw again the other week.
 
More interesting is just how bad Americas troops will perform....this is likely to be very ugly. Our military has prob never been worse lead and worse trained....we would need some expert opinion on that.
 
Heard someone say the other day that our military has not been weaker since right before Korea.

I suspect that actually it is around 1939, as we started getting ready for WW2.

WW 3 is likely just around the corner.
