Democracy in Iraq clearly doesn't work. Though a new political power is rising, which I predicted long ago. Al Sadr.
Who supports neither Maliki or Allawi(US puppet).
But supports Al-Jafari.He should seek support from Sunni politicians who are being targetted by Maliki.
He should also reach out to the Kurds who have been left out by both Maliki and Allawi governments.
He should also try to undermind Maliki's base(who is weak). Allawi has too much US money behind him.
Al-Sadr needs to bring in some Iranian money. Or even Al-Qaeda money.
Al-Sadr 's first priority should be to get his people free from jail. This should be his bargaining angle. This will increase morale among the Sadrists.
Al-Sadr's political influence will only grow from here.
Who knows. If he were a little older he would be a prime candidate to replace Al-sistani.
