According to the U.S. Census 2000, the racial makeup of Houston was 49.3% White (including Hispanic or Latino), 25.3% Black or African American, 0.4% Native American, 5.3% Asian, 0.18% Pacific Islander, 16.5% from other races, and 3.2% from two or more races. 37% of the population was Hispanic or Latino of any race.​

No. He's saying the media are not up-in-arms over a disaster where the population is predominantly white.

And he is right. Are you deaf and blind? Were you born after Katrina?

My high school self would beg to differ. Considering I went to school with over 1500 people, half the school, who were black.
If that's true what the poster said, he's dumber than he thought. Everyone else knew that already so there's that.
