First off, none of the new strains are more deadly. They are more contagious, and possibly more likely to get around vaccines.

Second off, the California strain was identified in California, but more likely came from New Mexico, and is probably in Texas too.

Biden certainly has been pushing for more processes to prevent the spread, which you have been attacking him on.

A new variant, B.1.429, is on the rise in California. Doctors there are keeping a close eye on it, though it's not clear why it's spreading so fast.

Its mutation, dubbed L452R, has been detected on a few occasions dating back to March but appears to have been very rare until November.

Between Nov. 22 and Dec. 13, the variant made up 3% of California cases where the virus was genetically sequenced.

But between Dec. 14 and Jan. 3, that rose to 25%, said Dr. Charles Chiu, a professor of medicine and expert in viral genomics at the University of California, San Francisco.

At least 144 cases of that variant have been tracked across the U.S., and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention predicts it may become the predominant variant in the country by March.

It is certainly possible that over the next months or years, the virus will mutate so much that the vaccines that took nearly a year to make against it will no longer be effective.

Look, so far the US is lucky we do not have one of the new stains in runaway proportion like Brazil, South Africa, or the UK Islands.

Now, the US does have a very few isolated cases of the new strains in several states now, but that is where we must rely upon a very important step in pandemic control we refer to as tracking. Tracking is something that true US patriots do to trap and isolate viruses before they can spread throughout the UNITED STATES and killing our own citizens by the millions if left to run out of control. IT'S A moral OBLIGATION AND COMMITMENT TO COUNTRY- LIKE THE WEARING OF MASKS AROUND OTHERS- AND DISTANCING YOURSELF AROUND OTHERS.

So although the new strains are a major concern in the US, it is not in Pandemic proportion as of yet, and our main focus is isolation and trapping the original Corona Strain that includes all strains. The same methods of Pandemic control are used to stop all strains of the virus.
