Once the media hysterics subside, he may have a "local" recovery. But as a potential National candidate, his future is dim. I am fine with that because I never saw him as a viable candidate to lead the Republican Party and distinguish the differences between Republican and Democratic ideology.

I do not think Republicans can win taking advice from Liberals and by being Democrat "light".

The liberal hysteria over a four-day lane closure is hilarious, isn't it?

It is predictable; but the deaths of an Ambassador and three other Americans in a diplomatic mission and the attempted cover-up for administrative incompetence gets a collective media yawn and a response from the Sec State tantamount to " what difference does it make!!!"

It's not nearly as scandalous as what happened in Fort Lee, is it?

Remember the Fast and Furious affair? That was no big deal.

Or the IRS targeting political opponents...nothing to see there.

Just appoint partisan donors who owe their position to the incumbent administration and the correct version of the truth will emerge...

Last week I'd have said no, but this current scandal just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

He's perfect for NJ, but he's done on the national scene.

This is small change compared to the Fast and the Furious... Seriously, some cones and nobody dies... Some guns and people have died.

There's much larger fish to fry... the press notwithstanding. This might even shame them into asking some tough questions of a far more scandal-ridden "I never knew anything" politician that they've largely ignored up until now.

Fast and Furious affected almost no one in this country.

Christie's bridge stunt affected tens of thousands of driver/voters.

The guy you want to pin F&F on doesn't have to worry about re-election...Christie may have considered a WH run and he still might, but this will DEFINITELY be used against him next time he throws hi hat in the ring.

His party does...and who would Y O U pin it on?

Christie may have considered a WH run and he still might, but this will DEFINITELY be used against him next time he throws hi hat in the ring.

It was either a "scandal" or his weight, wasn't it?

I'm guessing both would be an issue for tolerant, non-judgmental liberals if he runs.

No. If anything, I believe the public will view Christie as even more a man of integrity than before, given how he has reacted to the scandal.

Even this bridge thing will be so far back in the rearview mirror, nobody will care much about it by primary season... Unless the other horses in the primary race rub it in Christie's face... But even then, I don't think the story has legs. Similarly, Benghazi doesn't have legs and F&F had its legs amputated a LONG time ago... imho.
