Is gender identity a choice?

That makes no sense.

There is no pretending.

Biological sex and gender are separate yet related.
Gender refers to being male, female, or neuter. Beyond that, the recent redefinition--and that's what it is--tries to justify a whole plethora of mental illnesses and fetishes as normal.

A point MAGA morons cannot understand since they habitually only see what they want to see. MAGAts ain't to bright and most JPP MAGAts are suffering from elderly dementia.

We tend to use the words “sex” and “gender” interchangeably, but they are in fact two different concepts. For many, their sex and gender are aligned, but for others, they are not.

Sex refers to biological differences (chromosomal, hormonal, reproductive), whereas gender refers to socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities, and expectations associated with femininity and masculinity.

It is not a mental illness. Trans people KNOW their biological sexes. Hence the term "transgender".

Yes, transgenderism is a mental illness. Normal, sane people don't undergo cosmetic surgery, genital mutilation, and pretend to be what they are not, nor do they have a near 50% suicide rate.

That all applies to transgenders. They have serious mental issues that need to be dealt with not coddled and encouraged.
