Here's the link to the Daily Kos posting of BHO's birth certificate. This is reported as the original (actually a duplicate printed by the Hawaiian State Government in 2007). Daily Kos: State of the Nation

Insofar as "techdude's" credentials, he is an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, American College of Forensic Examiners, The International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners, International Information Systems Forensics Association - the list goes on. He also a board certified as a forensic computer examiner, a certificated legal investigator, and a licensed private investigator. He has been performing computer based forensic investigations since 1993 (although back then it did not even have a formal name yet) and he has performed countless investigations since then.

Yes, the campaign that has raised several hundred million dollars procured and released to the world, when they had no obligation to do so, a false birth certificate that could be revealed to be false by some guy who calls himself "techdude" and who posts his findings on a rabid right-wing blog.

Yes, that would be simple. It would be nice if he would do that. However, that doesn't change that I think it is unlikely that he is "faking" this. I believe that there is a group of government functionaries who check into the status of legality of the candidates and they likely have such a document.

Uh, that's what Obama did and that's what sparked this whole thing. The certified copy from the Secretary of State's office was deemed a "fake" by some guy named "techdude."

Nothing will satisfy the lunatics on the right. They're too busy trying to relive Rathergate to let common sense hold the day.

Top, thats the biggest problem with being southern. The southerners from the shallow end of the gene pool seem to get the most press.

It happens in the west too. Almost everybody on TV from Colorado is either Patsy Schroeder, or some transplant in a cowboy hat who can't string a sentence together around his chaw...

Secondarily, what's the point of all of this anyway? Obama's mother is an American citizen. He could have been born on Mars and would still be an American citizen. Now, we can debate the meaning of "natural born" all we want, but are we to assume that Obama's parents concealed his birth in Kenya and concocted a lie about his birth in Hawaii way back in 1961 for no apparent reason whatsoever on the off chance that their newly born son would someday grow up and want to run for president? Or are the wing-nuts simply full of shit again?

Of course, with something at this level they are competent. Just try to get a compartmentalized clearance and tell me if they aren't careful, this is even a step above that.
