Then why is Biteme going to a supposedly "safe" state this late in the campaign? If you know anything about politics, you don't send the #2 on the ticket to a safe state with a week to go. This would be like Ryan going to North Dakota next Friday

Why is Joe "Plugs" Biteme going to Pennsylvania this late in the game? Saying Biden is from Scranton is like saying Obama is from Illinois or Romney is from Massachussetts

More to the point, why isn't the Romney campaign spending more time here in PA? The last visit we had was 30 minutes of Ryan waving the Terrible Towel out near the airport, on his way to Ohio.

Pennsylvania has been traditionally fools gold for the GOP. I agree, I don't think that Biden can win it. But, something is going on if they are sending Biteme there this late in the game. If you deny that then you deny reality. With only a week left in the campaign, there is one thing more valuable than money and that is the candidates time. If Biteme is in Pennsylvania, then he isn't somewhere else.
I think it is smart for Romney not to send resources to Pennsylvania. He doesn't need it to win. If the unthinkable happens and Romney somehow wins Pennsylvania (not something I predict mind you) then OWEbama gets blown out of the water.
Romney has two clear paths to victory. If he wins Ohio game, set match. Or he loses Ohio and wins Wisconsin, Iowa and New Hampshire. Iowa and New Hampshire are in the bag for Romney. Wisconsin is unlikely but given all the kerfuffle with Scott Walker the GOP turnout machine is in full gear there. With a week left to go, where would the regime rather have Biteme go, Pennsylvania or Wisconsin?
