We always hear that those of us on the right are EXTREME for wanting to protect the life of the unborn. Just a few weeks ago Governor Perry came under fire for wanting to restrict abortions after 5 months. 5 MONTHS. We also hear that we should be more like Europe because they are so evolved and "progressive". So I did a little digging and did you know that Germany has some very nice restrictions on abortion?
The gestational limit is 12 weeks, not 20 weeks and the woman must receive proper counselling three days before the procedure. The state-regulated counselling is required to inform the woman that the unborn have a right to life and to try to convince her to continue her pregnancy.
The procedure is not covered by public health insurance except for women with low income. The law includes penalties for people who force a pregnant woman to obtain an abortion or who induce a pregnant woman to have an abortion by maliciously withholding support payments
So the question is are the German people extreme and why shouldn't we emulate them since left wingers want us to emulate their healthcare.
