Is Trump delusional?

Most people regard Trump's constant, transparent lying as a bad joke, while his supporters tie themselves in knots trying to explain it away. His false claim to an audience of first responders that he was "down there with them" on 9/11 is just the latest of thousands.

Either this president is the most shameless liar who ever occupied the White House - or, more disturbingly, he is incapable much of the time of distinguishing between reality and fantasy.

Which is it? If there's a third option it eludes me.

It's a grandiose belief, IMO, that if he says it, that makes it come true. Remember years ago when he claimed that he saw thousands of American Muslims dancing in the streets? That was of course thoroughly debunked. Now he's suddenly there on the scene, moving debris and helping first responders. It's a mental illness.

The RWers went on for literally years about Hillary's false claim that she was under fire at an overseas trip. Yet when the Toadstool blatantly lies, day after day, it's <crickets> or excuses. Wonder why that is.

Trump is a child. He craves attention. When something comes up his thought it "what can I do to make it about me". An example is his saying during a school shooting that he would have run in and stopped it, even without weapons. Who talks like that? RULES that the sociopathic among us MUST follow since their morals will allow them to do anything to people to get even yet more wealthy

What lies? Trump lies constantly. Talk about those lies. Many of Trump's lies reveal a sad and serious underlying psychosis. Trump making signing the first responder's bill about him is the latest example. Doesn't his doing that over and over worry you? It should.

I think the man is delusional, he believes that because he wishes he were the type of person who would have been helping on 9-11, and because he says its true.... that enough people will believe it to end up making it as if it were true. That is insanity, but on the insane culture we live in, it works on a certain percentage.

He definitely lies on purpose, but I think he's also mentally ill. When he says things like his father was born in Germany, a lie so completely pointless, it's not really a lie. He actually believes that.

Trump has easily told thousands of lies in just 2+ years. And, of course, it's nobody's above the law except Trump. There was plenty of evidence of collusion in the Mueller report, just nothing that amounted to criminal conspiracy. Despite years of witch hunts, you were never able to come up with anything substantial on either Bill or Hillary. But you keep on with your unsubstantiated allegations.

Yes, we saw the reality of all of that in our own 19th century. But "Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it."
