If this comes off it is total victory for Israel.
It will be a total but temprary victory for everybody, to include the Lebanese people, Syrians, and other Arab Semites in the region. Yes, for Israel as well. Key in on the word "temporary" (see below).
All Hezbollah infrastructure in the border region was destroyed and displaced Israelis are now able to move home to the north. Hezbollah have suffered unprecedented attrition of leadership and capability.
You are mischaracterizing losses/damage to Hezbollah. As long as Iran exists and is not a participant to said "peace treaty", Hezbollah will still be funded at $700 million annually. All aforementioned damage/losses will be replaced/repaired, and all leadership vacancies will be refilled.
In the meantime, Hezbollah will not be refusing Iran's funding and will remain available to receive the Ayatollah's orders. The moment Iran finds it to be politically beneficial to attack Israel again through Hezbollah, Hezbollah will get the call.
Iran should have been addressed, but they were not. Iran was not a participant of this "peace deal" therefore it cannot last. Israel should have invaded Iran when Iran attacked Israel on 7 October 2023 through Al Qassam, but Israel did not, choosing instead to take advantage of the world's general confusion on the matter and to slaughter Gazans while effecting the 2nd Nakba. At no point is Iran being addressed, and Iran is the country that wants Israel destroyed; Iran has been responsible for every single attack on Israel since the Iranian Revolution (except for one*).
Until Iran in either included or somehow otherwise addressed, attacks on Israel will resume and all treaties will, at best, be only temporary.
* - At the tail end of Operation Desert Storm, Saddam Hussein tried to unite the Muslim world to his cause by launching a few SCUD missiles at Israel. None were of any concern.
Israel retains the right to strike targets if the Lebanese fail to deal with any future threats.
Herein lies the grand error, and the underlying dishonesty of the propaganda. Lebanon is a sovereign country. Israel does not have free reign to attack sovereign countries under their declaration that they are going after Hezbollah or Al Qassam or Hamas or Islamic Jihad or anyone. To claim that they do is to claim that Israel is justified in attacking the United States and bombing my children if they simply claim that they are going after Hezbollah, and that regretfully, my children are just collateral damage ... because there is always collateral damage in war!
If Israel wants Lebanon to assist in capturing/killing criminals/terrorists in Lebanon, then Israel can first request such assistance through diplomatic channels. Only if Israel makes such requests, are denied, and attacks continue are they justified in taking unilateral action against a sovereign country. Until those conditions are met, the above statement is simply invalid.
Complete humiliation for Iran’s favourite proxy.
Iran needs to be addressed, not Iran's proxies. Iran can always get more proxies. Sovereign countries cannot be treated as though they are Israel's property.
Hamas is now totally isolated in Gaza
When were they not?
as their formerly most powerful allies (Hezbollah and Iran) have backed down.
Iran has not backed down. Iran was never Hamas' ally.
Turns out wars *can* be won by force rather than de-escalation. Who knew?
The war in question has not been won. Iran has not been addressed, and Iran is one of the sides.
