It may be over for Clinton

Obama is no longer Hillary Clinton's problem, he's now John Mccain's.

Obama will win in both Texas and Ohio ... and Pennsylvania .. and Rhode Island.

I agree. Just from what I have seen and read, Mrs. Clinton is toast. I think it showed last night during the debate too. She didn't do badly but she acted like the runner up to me.

It's less about what Hillary did wrong, and more about the phenomenom of Brack Obama.

America has never seen anything like Obama.

The first time I saw him speak, I said to my husband, "I think we're looking at our first black president". Seems lots of other people feel the same way. :)

Although she certainly wouldn't acknowledge it at this point in time, her final remark about " ...whatever happens, we'll be fine ..." looked a lot like a concession to me.

Sure it is.... many of the national polls only use 1000 or so. This is a state poll and it is only polling Dems.

... and although Austin is a Democratic enclave, Dems still are a small minority in the state. Still, in testing the waters further west in the state, I get the impression that HC isn't very well regarded overall.

It's both.

She ran a horrific campaign. She was not at all prepared for any kind of primary fight; no ground preparation in states after 2/5, and triangulating for a general election as early as last Spring.

It was quite a choke job, but even that wouldn't have mattered if Obama wasn't the one challenging her. I agree he is a phenom.

Everyone knows Hillary is what the republicans want to battle.

They will have a hell of a time casting Obama as a bad guy in the publics mind. They will blow it and make themselfs look like hate filled racists.

I cant wait.

Of course they have.

Democrats are just hoping they will forget previous silver-tongued demagogues who promised everything to the (majority) masses while paying for it by soaking the (electoral minority) "rich".

Small wonder nobody brings up Huey Long, FDR, Harry Hopkins, Father Coughlin, George McGovern, etc. The similarities are uncomfortably close.

Democrats are relying, as always, on people's short memories. Education and information are their enemies.

She came about as close to acknowledging it as she could in the debate yesterday .. particularly her comment that she was honored to share the stage with Barack Obama.

We are looking at history.

American memories are certainly long enough to remember George Bush and the tragedy of his policies and right-wing/ conservative/ republican/ christian coalition contorl of our government.

In 2003, Obama was a little-known state-senator.

Five years later he's beating the hell out of one of the most powerful political families in America in the last 50 years.

Today, he has captured the imagination of America and most of planet earth.

I repeat .. America has never seesn anything like Barack Obama.

So you can't say anything about Obama's record or policy positions or anything else or you will be a hate filled racist?

So in other words he is off limits because he is black.

Since they can't have Hillary to beat up on, they're trying to make Michelle Obama into a new Hillary.

Good luck with that one.

He isn't off limits to challenge his positions .. but they'd better stay clear of race.

That's what it looks like at Morning in America.

If he hadn't pulled the "Jane Fonda" when he came back he would have won, IMO. I know the swift-vets said stuff about his actual service but I didn't see any of those commercials aired here. No one I talked to personally talked about his service but were appalled (rightly or wrongly) at his actions when he came back.

And I just hope that my disagreements to his positions (on some things) won't be misconstrued as racism.
