So, how many times are Hamas, Hezbollah, et al., going to go to the worthless, toothless, UN and whine about how mean Israel is being to them and how they need a ceasefire because they're getting the shit stomped out of them? It's what, 4 now? Maybe the 6th or 8th time will be a charm and the UN will vote for a ceasefire and the Israelis will tell the UN to shove up their ass and continue stomping all over their enemies.
Maybe Hezbollah and Hamas should think about the error of their ways and stop calling for the destruction of Israel, something they'll never achieve by the look of it and start trying to build a functioning, stable, society with what they've got. But I'm not holding my breath for that to happen...

Hardly. US foreign aid to Israel is about 1% of their GDP.
On the other hand, without foreign aid, Hamas and the Palestinians are done.

Because most of what the US does in military aid is for R&D, not weapons. Raytheon Israel, for example, developed Iron Dome and that technology was transferred to the US and used in Standard and Patriot SAM systems, as but one example.
Unlike their neighbors, Israel has some top-notch military tech, and the US would prefer that it go to there rather than to say, India or China, or even Russia. We stop working with Israel, they go elsewhere. Whatever you think of Israel, one thing is for certain, they are not stupid. Their neighbors are, but they aren't.
