he told his friends he didn't like them calling him "Dick"......
actually, I found this trying to look up something else.....knew a preacher who was studying at the seminary while I was getting my masters.....he was from Nigeria and his name was PeeWee Diik......I forget how his first name was spelled, but that's what it came through as, phonetically.......he was urged to change his name before he was ordained.....
